About HAE

The Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs (HAE) is dedicated to the advancement of entrepreneurship, promotion of innovation, and the ideals of leadership and learning. We are a 501(c)3, volunteer-run, Shared Interest Group of the Harvard Alumni Association. Since our beginnings in 2005, HAE has served as a meeting place for entrepreneurial alumni, students, faculty and staff from all of Harvard's schools.

We are unique among Harvard’s alumni organizations - in global reach, diversity, inclusion and academic degrees. HAE is the only university-wide, alumni-driven organization focused on entrepreneurship officially recognized by the Harvard Alumni Association.

HAE is financially self-sustaining and does not receive any funding from Harvard University.

History of HAE:

Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs was incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit in 2007 when a group of alumni from multiple schools came together to support fellow alumni entrepreneurs. HAE was recognized as a Shared Interest Group for entrepreneurship by Harvard Alumni Association.

In 2013, the organization started expanding outside Boston and launched chapters, starting with Boston, New York and subsequently Chicago, Denver and other cities in the US and around the world. Alumni mentorship and support platform “HAE Connect” was launched in 2019.
