Pitch for Impact 2020

We're celebrating Microsoft's 30th anniversary in Portugal, and we want to invite you to celebrate with us!

Our society had to adapt to a new reality and watched the impact of these challenging times, and technology has never advanced so fast.

Now it is time to think about sustainable solutions, with a direct impact on our world and society, so we're challenging the most innovative startups to Pitch for Impact!

If you're developing an innovative solution, share it with us and Pitch for Impact. A Microsoft initiative in partner with Maze, Casa do Impacto, Galp, Amorim and EDP.


Challenge: MAZE is on the hunt for early-stage impact ventures focused on solving social and environmental challenges through sustainable business models. Candidates should combine the following features:

  • A talented team with solid technical and managerial skills

  • Unique and innovative product

  • Tech-enabled solutions

  • Strong and clear business and impact model already validated

  • The grit and intention to grow a business that makes the world a better place.


Access to 5 mentorship sessions on the following topics:

  • Strategy,

  • Fundraising,

  • Corporate engagement,

  • Impact management

  • Communications.

MAZE is an impact investing company who manages a European Impact Investing Fund, the MSM Fund, and a European Impact Accelerator, Maze X. The 5 mentorship sessions will be provided by different professionals with experience in the specific areas, who will challenge you and provide you guidance in order to help you take your impact startup to the next level. As part of the support, you can expect introductions to relevant entities in MAZE’s network.

  • Impact Management (Luís Fonseca, Partner)
